2/14 - Out of the woods yet? NOT. Forgot that we live in the woods!!

So just when I thought the weather was turning in our favor look what happens? 170 of Grayson's classmates had to spend the night at school last night because they couldn't make it home. Good thing Grayson's last name starts with "F" so he is on bus #1. The other buses got stranded. Channel 2 news broadcasted live from his school last night on the 10 o'clock news. We woke up to 4 foot drifts on our driveway! I actually made it up the Utah county side of the mountain in the trusty Jeep Wrangler at about 10:00 PM last night right when they were reporting that the road was closed and impassable. No one was there to block the road so I went for it. It was a white nuckler and I drove a good part of the way from memory due to white out conditions. Check out the jeep pictures after I got home!! Enjoy, and remember to send ice melt.

Grayson home from school! Snow Day!!!!!!

Looking out of our front window into the wall of white.

Snow must be cleared from mailboxes or no
mail will be delivered!!

School is only cancelled for today. He is excited for his valentines party which was posponed. He has made a Johnny Cash valentines box with flames (paper flames) that plays the song "Burning ring of fire" when someone opens the hatch to drop in the valentine. It is awesome. Best box wins an award. He has it secured!

I LOVE the Valentine Box. He should win for sure! You pay a price for that gorgeous view out your back window with NO view out your front window all winter! INCREDIBLE!

Steve, I'm still amazed that you guys have accumulated that much snow! Isn't there a possibility of opening a ski lift from your backyard and down the mountain? Why not make some money off old man winter?!
